These courses run alongside each other. You will need to select RYA Competent Crew or RYA Day Skipper at the point of your booking.
Each RYA course with Devon Sailing Experiences offers you the advantage of your own double cabin* aboard our spacious yacht. From the moment you join us at King Point Marina, Plymouth, you will immediately notice that your spotlessly clean yacht is maintained to the highest standard. This provides a high-quality platform for you to learn alongside your crew, with the instructor on hand to offer advice and encouragement and to ensure your safety.
By booking with Devon Sailing Experiences, you will enjoy the convenience of finding us located close to Plymouth mainline train station – our base location, King Point Marina in Plymouth, is less than 5-minutes away in a taxi. This small, modern marina offers high-quality, well-maintained washing and showering facilities for you to use. It is located within a short walk of Royal William Yard and The Barbican where you will find a good selection of pubs and restaurants, making it an excellent place to begin your RYA Day Skipper course in Devon.

Plymouth is the starting location for our RYA courses. Arrive at 18:00 the evening before you set sail.
Typical student to instructor ratio is 3:1.
* If you are booking 2 places, we will assume that you wish to share a cabin with the person you are booking with unless you tell us otherwise within 7 days of receiving your booking confirmation. If you are booking more than 3 places, please check the cabin layout to make sure it will work for you.
