As part of your Exclusive Sailing Experience, Devon Sailing Experiences offers you our 42′ yacht to become your home-from-home as part of your holiday in the west-country. This type of experience is a great opportunity for families to spend some time together whilst enjoying an active adventure. Regardless of sailing ability or experience, it is ideal for those who want to give sailing a try and have a fun day out on the water. Each and every member of your family is welcome to get involved as much (or as little!) as they choose. Even if you have sailed before, our exclusive sailing experiences give you an ideal opportunity to brush up on your own skills and increase your own confidence on the water whilst introducing your friends or loved ones to the joys of sailing.
During your exclusive sailing experience, Devon and Cornwall will provide the backdrop of the most beautiful coastline. If you are exclusively chartering for the day, you may choose to head towards Cawsands or Kingsands, Cornwall – a beautiful, sheltered bay where you can drop the anchor for lunch. In favourable conditions, you may head up the tranquil and unspoilt River Yealm, nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB).
If you choose to exclusively charter for 2 or more days, you may decide to head east to Salcombe (a vibrant and stylish town with a good selection of high-quality pubs and restaurants) or west to Fowey (a picturesque, historical harbour town in Cornwall). There are plenty of other destinations to choose when exclusively chartering for 2 days or more and you are welcome to spend the nights aboard the yacht when moored in your chosen destination. Fresh bedding and towels are supplied by us, adding a luxurious feel to your exclusive charter.
Our enviable starting location is Plymouth which provides easy access by yacht to the coasts of both Devon and Cornwall. Conveniently located at King Point Marina in Plymouth, we are just a 5-minute taxi ride from Plymouth mainline train station where you will find regular train links from Exeter, Bristol, London, Manchester and Birmingham. If you are already on holiday in Devon (for example, Salcombe, Modbury, Bigbury Bay and Totnes) or Cornwall (Cawsands, Kingsands and Looe), King Point Marina is easily accessible by car. You will find pay and display parking conveniently located opposite the marina.
