Friends and Family Sailing Holidays

The exclusive use of the yacht, together with short sail options, access to beaches and the opportunity to watch the marine life, make this a great choice for those who want full control of their holiday. Ask a question.

Price includes exclusive use of our  42′ yacht plus skipper, tender with outboard, diesel and gas.

Information

Combining sailing with plenty of other activities, this option is a great way to make the most of your precious holiday time. Absolutely no sailing experience is necessary, as your skipper will accommodate what works for you and what doesn’t. We also know which local activities are being planned for the time of your visit.

If you choose to stay more than one day, then the layout of the yacht will definitely suit you and your family. The master cabin has its own en-suite bathroom. There are a further 2 cabins with an additional bathroom with shower. The yacht also has entertainment systems on board including TV, DVDs and board games. In addition to this, you will have the advantage of stunning views that are exclusive to yacht ownership.

Try to catch your own lunch off the side of the boat or take the dinghy ashore to that secluded beach for a BBQ whilst the children play in the rock pools. Alternatively, sail to a local destination and explore – it’s entirely up to you.

In the evening you may choose to go ashore or stay on the boat. Where possible, the skipper will leave the boat by 5 pm so you can enjoy the experience completely on your own. (Please note that there are additional costs for this option.)

We believe we offer the best family sailing holidays in Devon and Cornwall based on price and the quality of the product.

Locations

There are a large number of anchorages within an hours sail.

If you are looking to stay for a few days and wish to investigate local harbours, then there are several destinations.

Salcombe – This quaint and attractive little town has a rather upmarket feel with plenty of boutique style shops, combined with a good helping of bustling pubs and restaurants.  A great location on or off season.

Dartmouth – A large, historic Elizabethan town. The harbour is extremely attractive, well sheltered and vibrant in the summer months. A more yachting based fact sheet is here.

Dittisham – Further up the River Dart is Dittisham which is a personal favourite of ours. A beautiful location with a good pub, access to Agatha Christie’s Greenways and countless walks.

Fowey – Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the town hangs off the west side of the Fowey estuary where the large, deep water harbour is a magnet for the yachting crowd.

“Had a brilliant week sailing from Salcombe over to the Channel Islands, including Guernsey and Sark, onboard our beautiful yacht for the week. Nick, our skipper, was great company. Friendly and knowledgeable, he taught us so much and gave us confidence for our future sailing. Thanks for letting us challenge ourselves with this epic trip – we loved every minute and will never forget it!”
